Night Auditor
Highgate Hotels is a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company with over $15 billion in assets under management and a global portfolio of more than 400 hotels across North America, Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
Location: 97‑room Kimpton Palladian Hotel, Seattle, WA (Belltown).
Overview: The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing, organizing, and compiling management reports, ensuring accurate guest billings and city ledger transactions, and performing guest service agent duties as required.
Responsibilities- Work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- Cross‑train in other accounting or hotel‑related areas.
- Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines.
- Perform guest services functions as required (check‑in/check‑out, reservations, call‑up, etc.).
- Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
- Prepare and distribute daily, monthly, and year‑end reports (Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports).
- Audit and reconcile all Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work.
- Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit card activity.
- Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported, including statistics.
- Input and update financial information into the corporate communications network.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions.
- Keep management informed of unusual operational or financial events.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Respond to governmental inquiries.
- Handle guest requests.
- High School diploma or equivalent; one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
- Guest Service Experience preferred.
- Computer knowledge/skills required.
- Flexible, long hours; occasional overnight shift.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor with guests and employees.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective listening and clarification of concerns.
- Multi‑task and prioritize departmental functions.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with Highgate Hotel Standards.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations.
- Maximize productivity, identify problems, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Handle problems proactively and solve them as necessary.
- Understand and apply complex information from various sources.
- Cross‑train in other hotel related areas.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Show initiative, anticipate guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Travel discounts at Highgate hotels.

- 401(k) retirement program for full‑time and part‑time staff who qualify.
Hourly: $21.50 - $22.00/hr (salary range), with potential for $23.00/hr.
