Position Overview:
Payroll Specialist

Location: Seattle (On-site)

Shift: Monday – Friday, Day Shift

$32-38/hr.

The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for both union and non-union employees across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage biweekly payroll processing for multiple states, including unionized employees, with attention to customizations and balancing.
  • Ensure payroll complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, including union requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll questions, discrepancies, and data accuracy.
  • Maintain precise records of earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related documentation.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Support HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration as needed.

Core Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in multi-state and unionized environments.
  • Proficient in ADP and other payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of multi state payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and teams effectively.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR administration experience is a plus.
