Job DescriptionSummary:
The Manager of Medical Group Contracts and Immigration is responsible for overseeing provider employment contracting, immigration sponsorship processes, and related regulatory compliance for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). This position collaborates with legal counsel, human resources, physician recruitment, medical staff services, and operational leaders to ensure timely execution of provider agreements and successful management of visa and immigration matters. The manager supports strategic workforce initiatives by facilitating the recruitment, employment, retention, and immigration sponsorship of qualified healthcare providers.
Job Description:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, Legal Studies, or related field required.
- Master's degree or related advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration, physician contracting, provider recruitment, immigration management, legal operations, or related field.
- Experience managing physician employment agreements and immigration processes strongly preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of physician employment agreements and healthcare contracting principles.
- Understanding of employment-based immigration processes, including H-1B, J-1 waiver, and permanent residency programs.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements impacting provider employment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and contract management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Manage the development, review, processing, and administration of physician and APP employment agreements. Coordinate contract approvals with legal counsel, executive leadership, finance, and operational stakeholders. Track contract terms, renewal dates, compensation provisions, restrictive covenants, and termination requirements. Ensure provider agreements comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and fair market value requirements. Maintain contract management databases and document repositories.
Partner with legal to develop and implement contract policies, procedures, and standard templates.
Oversee provider immigration sponsorship programs, including J-1 waiver physicians, H-1B visas, permanent residency applications, and other employment-based immigration processes. Serve as the primary organizational liaison with immigration attorneys and government agencies. Coordinate immigration timelines, filing requirements, and provider documentation. Monitor visa expiration dates and ensure timely renewals and compliance activities. Maintain immigration records and documentation in accordance with federal requirements. Educate leadership and providers regarding immigration regulations and sponsorship obligations.
