Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, is hiring a Database Support Engineer for our global, remote‑first team. The role focuses on providing deep technical support to customers, managing support cases, and driving product and process improvements.

• Work across a wide range of topics, from basic administration of Timescale
  
  DB to design, optimization, and implementation consulting.
• Manage support cases from beginning to end, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
• Develop and maintain close relationships with customers to drive success and gather feedback.
• Be curious, always learning, and continuously improving products, processes, and culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• Relational database experience at scale, including administration, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Experience with Postgre
  
  SQL (strong plus) and deep familiarity with Timescale
  
  DB is essential.
• Experience as a technical support professional working with external customers.
• Strong aptitude to learn new software products quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to express empathy when troubleshooting complex technical concepts.

• Familiarity with broad cloud computing concepts and experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience with relational databases, No
