We are currently seeking a highly skilled and innovative Staff Blockchain Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. As a Principal Blockchain Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing distributed ledger technology (DLT) solutions that enhance the security, immutability, and verifiability of our digital signature and agreement platforms. You will work on integrating blockchain capabilities into our core products, focusing on creating robust, scalable, and legally compliant systems for managing digital documents and contracts.
This role reports into the VP, Software Engineering.
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable blockchain solutions and decentralized applications (DApps) for digital agreement workflows and identity verification.
- Write, test, and deploy smart contracts (e.g., Solidity on Ethereum-compatible networks, or other relevant DLT platforms) for automated agreement execution, dispute resolution, and verifiable record‑keeping.
- Integrate blockchain components and smart contracts seamlessly with existing cloud-based applications, document management systems, and backend services.
- Implement robust cryptographic solutions and ensure the security, integrity, and immutability of data stored and processed on the blockchain.
- Optimize blockchain solutions for high transaction throughput, low latency, and efficient resource utilization, ensuring enterprise‑grade performance.
- Stay current with the latest developments in blockchain technology, cryptography, and digital identity, evaluating new protocols and tools for potential application.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including product management, legal, security, backend engineers, and UX designers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive tests for blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and integrated systems to ensure reliability and correctness.
- Create clear and concise technical documentation for blockchain architecture, design, and implementation.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience in blockchain development, working with at least one major blockchain platform (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche).
- Experience with smart contract development and deployment (e.g., Solidity, Go, Rust).
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, Java).
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles (hashing, public‑key cryptography, digital signatures).
- Familiarity with decentralized application (DApp) development and blockchain tooling.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and No
SQL). - Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

The estimated starting salary range for this role is $198,000–$228,000 annually, less applicable with holdings and deductions, paid on a bi‑weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
