We seek those committed to big, bold, meaningful progress. Progress that matters. Progress that acknowledges every person and every voice. Join us.

Who We Are

RALLY is an advocacy agency with a proven track record of driving progress on complex political and social issues. More than 500 organizations, including Climate United, the Hewlett Foundation, the National Indian Child Welfare Association, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, have partnered with us to drive meaningful change forward.

We work side by side with our clients—offering strategy, creativity, and partnership every step of the way—to advance solutions that benefit people, communities, and the future we all share.

How We Work
  • Conduct rigorous research across issue landscapes to inform strategy
  • Craft bold strategies to move issues forward
  • Design and launch communications campaigns that resonate
  • Build and run digital efforts that drive action
  • Create powerful visual identities, stories, and content that spark connection
Role Overview

In this role, you will bring research to life across advocacy, public education, and policy campaigns. You’ll work across multiple client teams, contributing to audience understanding, message framing, insight generation, and strategy development. You’ll support quantitative and qualitative research efforts, conduct wide-ranging desk research, monitor media and social trends, and synthesize findings into clear and actionable reports and recommendations.

This is a great fit for someone who naturally connects dots, identifies patterns others might miss, enjoys shaping strategy through thoughtful, well‑organized research, thrives in fast‑moving environments, and brings curiosity, rigor, and strong writing. Above all, you’re excited to help changemakers understand their audiences and make work that resonates.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct desk research on clients, issues, audiences, peer organizations, and cultural trends, pulling from AI tools, academic databases, media monitoring platforms, and public records
  • Monitor media coverage, social media discourse, and sentiment around relevant topics using media monitoring and social listening tools (training provided)
  • Assist in planning and executing research efforts, including surveys, message testing, qualitative interviews, and focus groups
  • Review, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources into clear summaries, insights, and strategic recommendations
  • Support qualitative research by helping schedule, prepare materials, observe sessions, and take detailed notes
  • Assist with quantitative research by reviewing survey tabs, identifying patterns, and summarizing key findings
  • Contribute to the development of audience personas, messaging briefs, and narrative insights
  • Draft background materials, briefing documents, memos, reports, and thought leadership content
  • Create clear, visually compelling presentations and data visualizations (Google Slides)
  • Collaborate with strategy, digital, and creative teams to ensure insights inform messaging, content, targeting, and campaign execution
  • Help maintain internal research libraries, audience profiles, and shared resources for persuasion and behavioral science
  • Support new business efforts by preparing research pulls, developing audience insights, sharing background summaries, and drafting proposal content
  • Participate in client meetings and internal brainstorms, contributing research‑backed perspective
Qualifications

Must‑Haves:

  • 3–5 years of experience in research, strategic communications, public interest advocacy, political campaigns, market research, academic research, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and synthesize it into clear insights and recommendations
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to translate data or research into compelling, audience‑focused language
  • Comfort working with data, including reading quantitative survey tabs, identifying themes, and articulating takeaways
  • Basic understanding of statistics or survey methodology…
