Reskilling & Impact

Street Light pioneered the use of Big Data analytics to illuminate how people, goods, and services move, empowering smarter, data‑driven transportation decisions. By applying proprietary machine‑learning algorithms and data‑processing resources, Street Light measures travel patterns of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians, enabling complex transportation problem solving through analytics available on its SaaS platform, Street Light InSight®. Acquired by Jacobs as a subsidiary in February 2022, Street Light continues to provide innovative digital solutions that help communities reduce congestion, improve safety, promote equitable transportation, and maximize the positive impact of infrastructure investment.

Street Light joined Jacobs, whose global scale accelerates adoption of Big Data to inform infrastructure at a pivotal time for funding, climate, and society. Together, we are committed to deploying deep domain knowledge and digital solutions to help communities make well‑informed, data‑driven investments in infrastructure.

Position Overview

Street Light Data is seeking a driven Product Manager to own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle—from research and definition through planning, building, release, and driving sales and adoption. You will collaborate with product managers, engineering, marketing, and our Public Sector sales team to develop the roadmap for Street Light InSight products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a product roadmap that balances innovation, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the transportation planning and operations industry through self‑learning, support of our internal industry experts, and proactive interaction with our sales team, prospects, and customers to support successfully developing product requirements that meet end‑customer needs.
  • Understand customer requirements and market opportunities for Street Light. This includes proactively gathering and synthesizing information from internal and external sources about market trends, competitive offerings, prospect and customer unmet needs, product requirements to meet those needs, and ability and willingness to pay as inputs to the product and business planning process.
  • Collaborate effectively within the Product Team and across Engineering to support product release planning, schedules, and short‑ and long‑term roadmaps for your area of responsibility in alignment with all Street Light Data product offerings. Work with the Data Science and Data Engineering teams to scope, estimate, and plan the implementation of the product and coordinate its schedule with other deliverables.
  • Participate in maintaining the appropriate level of transparency and education on current and future product plans for Executives, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and others with a need to know.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Solution Engineers, Sales, and our Executive Team to disseminate the product knowledge, plans and statuses that ensure any new product education or training, marketing materials or promotions, or prospect and/or customer communications can be completed in an effective, timely and efficient manner.
  • Travel from time to time to meet with prospects, customers, attend trade shows or visit other Street Light Data offices as needed.
