• Design, build, operate and optimize Tik Tok network, not limited to backbone, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
• Design, manage, operate and contribute to the development of our Layer7 Load Balancer, CDN origin and DNS.
• Troubleshoot network and traffic issues in partnership with our Data Center Partners.
• Work with cross‑functional teams including compute, storage, database, and application teams to drive innovation and evolution of Byte Dance network.
• Work with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection, perform testing and verification.
• Participate in the global on‑call rotation to support production traffic and networking issues.

• Good understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, RSVP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF/IS‑IS and MPLS.
• Good understanding of network monitoring protocols and tools such as SNMP, sFlow/netFlow, Telemetry.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following:
  Load Balancers, DNS, CDN origin, datacenter networking.
• Familiarity with data center network architecture such as CLOS.
• Self‑motivated, good communication, written skills and team player.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or three or more years of related experience.

• Significant experience configuring and optimizing Nginx.
• In‑depth knowledge of network protocols and implementation in hyper‑scale data center networks.
• In‑depth knowledge of public cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure, Ali Cloud, OCI, etc.).
• Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4‑IPv6 coexistence technologies.
• Programming/scripting skills in Python, Go or other languages.
