Job Description Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 4‑8 years hands‑on experience writing Teradata.
- Experience with Teradata Utilities (BTEQ, Fast Load, Multi Load).
- Extensive experience developing complex SQL code using Teradata stored procedures, macros, etc.
- Strong Unix shell scripting skills.
- Ability to create design documents and mapping documents.
- Design and document development standards.
- Knowledge of ETL and data‑warehouse concepts.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and Autosys.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current processes.
- Collaborate with business to convert requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop Teradata code meeting 100 % of technical specifications and business requirements.
- Analyze, design, code, and test highly complex ETL processes for data warehouses and/or operational data stores.
- Understand design for ETL applications, including data sources, targets, definitions, relationships, and business rules.
- Work closely with technical leads, analysts, data modelers, and other developers to understand project requirements and contribute to solutions.
- Provide post‑go‑live and application maintenance support.
- Provide technical expertise on database design, data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration.
- Create solutions for large and complex data‑driven applications.
- Reconciliation and test case creation for developed solutions.
- Design, develop, and support application solutions leveraging Teradata and its tools/Utilities.
- Prepare test cases for unit testing, SIT, regression.
- Take ownership and deliver independently; report to stakeholders highlighting achievements, risks, and future work.
- Follow Agile standard for development.
- Bring best practices, standards, and innovative ideas for architecture and design.
- Deploy data ingestion pipelines into dev, pre, and production environments.
- Perform unit, integration, functional, and non‑functional testing.
$100,000 – $130,000 per annum
