A fast growing organisation in the space technology sector is building modern, cloud native mission operations software that brings the speed and reliability of modern software development into satellite operations. The team is small, ambitious, and highly technical, and they are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment where their work directly impacts active space missions.
What You’ll Be DoingThe IT Specialist will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving both cloud and on premise IT infrastructure. Core responsibilities include ensuring security, system availability, and smooth day to day operations across a range of critical tools and environments. The role involves provisioning user systems, deploying and supporting services, maintaining network connectivity, monitoring system health, and driving automation to streamline internal processes.
You will partner closely with engineering teams to support integration, troubleshoot enterprise applications, and resolve issues that arise in mission driven environments. Key activities include incident response, root cause analysis, managing hardware and software tickets, and ensuring compliance and documentation standards remain high. As the company grows, you will help shape IT best practices, improve internal processes, and contribute to establishing scalable standards across the organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar
- 3 plus years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering
- Active US Security Clearance (Secret required, TS/SCI preferred)
- Hands on experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
- Strong background across Windows, Linux, and MacOS
- Experience with identity and access management tools such as Active Directory, Azure AD, or IAM platforms
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS
- Understanding of endpoint security, patching, and data protection
- Experience supporting remote or hybrid work forces
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
