Job SummaryThe Cybersecurity Technical Program Manager leads programs that strengthen the security program, building a "Secure
F5" ecosystem where security is job zero for all employees. The role influences ownership, execution, and embeds security into the company’s DNA.
- Lead the Security Programs: design scalable initiatives, build metrics and OKRs, run existing streams and build new maturity streams.
- Educate and Empower Teams: advocate and embed cybersecurity awareness, develop targeted messaging, empower executives to champion initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication: serve as bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, partner with CISO, Product and Engineering teams to support secure development practices.
- Leadership and Program Management: demonstrate strong project management, advise on budgets, timelines, provide reporting and metrics, partner with Digital TPM and PM resources with a ‘one-team’ mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of related experience in cybersecurity program management or related leadership role; security culture initiative experience a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management principles, and awareness-building activities.
- Exceptional project management and organizational leadership skills, with proven track record of delivering programs on schedule and within scope.
- Excellent communication skills, able to synthesize technical security information into messages understandable by all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience fostering behavioral and cultural change across diverse team environments.
- Experience working in fast-paced, global organizations with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Creative problem-solver with passion for influencing positive change across the organization.
- Familiarity with secure development practices and frameworks like OWASP, Dev Sec Ops principles, or NIST standards.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus across teams.
- 8-10 years of relevant security experience.
- 5+ years leading or managing culture of security.
- Advanced industry certification in relevant field (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA).
The annual base pay for this position is $ - $. F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
