Senior Counsel, Professional Services GTM
Location:
Seattle, Bellevue, San Francisco, or Mountain View (hybrid). Reports to VP, International General Counsel.
Databricks seeks an experienced commercial attorney to join the go‑to‑market legal team, responsible for reviewing and negotiating customer and partner agreements and supporting revenue‑generating activities.
Responsibilities- Review and negotiate partner and customer agreements globally, balancing risk with revenue growth.
- Build relationships with field sales and provide strategic counsel for go‑to‑market initiatives.
- Maintain and update legal agreements, focusing on professional services terms.
- Serve as a solutions‑oriented business partner, offering pragmatic legal advice on technology, security, privacy, and AI.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Information Security, Product, and Privacy to align policies in global contracting processes.
- 7+ years of technology transaction experience (law firm or in‑house).
- Deep experience drafting, negotiating, and closing complex professional services agreements.
- Strong knowledge in information security, data privacy, AI, and intellectual property.
- Ability to navigate complex legal issues while mitigating risk.
- Demonstrated prioritization, responsiveness, and communication skills.
- Growth mindset, attention to detail, critical thinking.
- Team player focused on collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience or interest in mentoring junior legal team members.
- JD and in good standing to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
We expect to use the full width of the range. Pay ranges by zone:
- Zone 1: $203,900 – $285,425 USD
- Zone 2: $183,500 – $256,850 USD
