Your Team:

You’ll be joining Evertune’s software engineering team – small, focused, and deeply collaborative. We’re currently a distributed group of ~10 engineers working across Seattle and New York, with a few contractors supporting specialized projects. While we span time zones, we operate with tight alignment and shared urgency. Our engineers ship fast, sweat the details, and genuinely enjoy building together. As one of the earliest hires on the team, you'll be helping to shape not just how we code – but how we grow, communicate, and scale.

Your Role:

As Evertune’s first full‑time QA hire, you’ll own quality assurance from the ground up – building and leading our QA function, shaping processes, and ensuring everything we ship meets enterprise‑grade standards. You’ll combine hands‑on UI manual testing with the design and implementation of UI automation, helping us move fast without sacrificing quality.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and design to test new features, catch issues early, and improve release confidence. You’ll have the freedom to recommend and implement the best automation tools for our stack. This is a high‑impact role for someone who loves building clean, reliable systems and has the leadership chops to grow a team over time.

This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in our NYC or Seattle office. Candidates must currently be based in either of these locations.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of QA experience, including both manual and automated testing for complex web applications
  • Proven experience running a QA function solo or as part of a small, high‑impact team
  • Experience in a startup or high‑growth SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Hands‑on experience with QA automation tools (tool‑agnostic; we’re open to your recommendations)
  • Ability to write clear, concise test cases and defect reports
  • Knowledge of performance and accessibility testing best practices
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to grow and guide a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Background in testing analytics, SEO, or marketing technology products is a plus
  • Must be currently based in Seattle or NYC, and willing to work 3 days per week in office.
