The RoleThe Oracle EBS Payroll Developer partners with clients to design, develop, and support Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll solutions that are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business requirements. This role requires deep experience with Oracle EBS Payroll, strong PL/SQL skills, and hands-on expertise with Fast Formulas. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with functional stakeholders, understands payroll and HR data flows end to end, and brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to development and problem solving.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support Oracle EBS Payroll customizations and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain Fast Formulas to support payroll calculations, validations, and reporting requirements.
- Build and support payroll interfaces, reports, and extensions using PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, and BI Publisher.
- Partner with functional teams to translate payroll and HR requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot payroll processing issues, including retro pay, balances, costing, and data integrity issues.
- Support payroll testing cycles, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and support procedures.
- Participate in payroll upgrades, patches, and ongoing production support activities.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining Oracle Payroll Fast Formulas.
- Proficiency with PL/SQL and Oracle database development.
- Experience with Oracle HRMS and Payroll tables, payroll balances, and payroll processing flows.
- Experience developing reports and extracts using BI Publisher and/or Oracle Reports.
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle APEX development
- Ability to work directly with payroll and HR stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
