SUMMARY: Provides quality customer support by utilizing excellent customer service skills and technical expertise, researching, analyzing, resolving and responding to basic-to-complex PC software, network, and possibly hardware questions and problems within specified service level metrics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides first and second level support for all incoming requests via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
- Acknowledges receipt of all user requests within defined service levels.
- Interviews users to collect information about problems; investigates user problems and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; and tests and implements solutions.
- Consults with developers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs.
- Logs detailed description of issues into trouble ticket system and manages trouble tickets to closure.
- Administers Microsoft Windows based end-user workstations.
- Installs, configures, and maintains workstations, monitors, and other related equipment.
- Performs software installation and upgrades.
- Implements server based file and folder permissions.
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by end-users on the network.

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.
- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Fingering (typing), communicating, repetitive motions.
- Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
- Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
