Tech Lead - Backend & Infrastructure (Full Time, Hybrid)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tech Lead specializing in Backend & Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated infrastructure and services to effectively support our Gelt applications, consumer API products, and our diagnostics‑and‑information gathering initiatives.

• Oversee the design and implementation of services and infrastructure that support Gelt applications, consumer API products, and diagnostics and information gathering/insights systems.
• Build and manage a team responsible for our consumer API products.
• Champion a Dev Ops culture across the team and the organization, integrating development and operations for efficient and agile delivery of services.
• Lead the training and development of R&D team members in Cloud technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Ensure all services and systems are secure, robust, and meet necessary compliance standards to protect our users and the business.
• Develop and manage scalable systems that are fault‑tolerant, cost‑effective, and capable of handling a rapidly expanding user base and service portfolio.
• Prioritize the design and development of simple yet effective systems that are intuitively structured, facilitating easy maintenance, efficient troubleshooting, and updates by all team members.
• Work closely with stakeholders from the product, security, and R&D teams to align technological solutions with business goals and objectives.

• Significant experience (7+ years) in a similar role, preferably in a dynamic, tech‑focused organization.
• Experience in Fin Tech/Tax or payment systems.
• Demonstrable expertise in backend development, infrastructure design, and Dev Ops principles.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Cloud technologies.
• Understanding of security standards and compliance requirements within the industry.
• Proven problem‑solving skills with a focus on designing robust, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Demonstrated ability to scale infrastructure in response to growth.
• Effective leadership and team‑building skills, with a proven track record of upskilling team members.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
