• 3-4 years hands-on experience on Big Data platform; comprehensive experience in Big Data processing using Apache Hadoop and its ecosystem (Map Reduce, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Flume and HBase).
• Specialization/hands-on experience in development of applications using advanced technologies such as Kafka, Spark and Storm is preferred.
• Knowledge of configuring/administration of Hadoop and its ecosystem components such as Hive, Pig, Sqoop etc.
• Experience in importing and exporting data using Sqoop from HDFS to Relational Database Systems and vice-versa.
• Hands on experience in configuring and working with Flume to load the data from multiple sources directly into HDFS.
• In depth understanding/knowledge of Hadoop Architecture and various components such as HDFS, Job Tracker, Task Tracker, Name Node, Data Node and Map Reduce concepts.
• 5+ years of experience in leading business process design, business events derivation and associated data objects and entity modeling.
• 5+ years of experience in driving the enterprise data architecture strategy, methodology and standards that delivers enterprise data model, associated meta model, common business vocabulary and taxonomies.
• Experience in applying future state data architecture/design concepts such as Data Lake and Big Data to solve real-life problems.
• Exposure to large-scale/enterprise-level data centric projects is a must
• In-depth understanding of RDBMS systems and Database Appliances (such as Oracle/RAC and Netezza)
• Experience reviewing designs for robustness and quality
• TOGAF or an equivalent architecture framework certification.(Preferred)
