We are seeking a highly skilled
API Solution Architect with deep expertise in Google Apigee, including
Apigee Hybrid, to lead and deliver enterprise-grade API management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in API design, security, and lifecycle management, along with proven capabilities in working closely with development teams, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement API solutions using
Google Apigee (Edge and Hybrid) in an enterprise environment.
• Lead API strategy, governance, and design best practices to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, developers, business analysts).
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Apigee configuration deployments.
• Set up and manage
Apigee Hybrid runtime environments(Kubernetes, GKE, Anthos).
• Implement robust security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API Key) and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Troubleshoot API issues in both development and production environments.
• Provide guidance on API versioning, traffic management, caching, and analytics.
• Conduct code and design reviews for API proxy implementations.
• Mentor and guide development teams on API lifecycle and Apigee best practices.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
• 8–10 years of experience in enterprise API development and architecture.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Google Apigee (including Hybrid).
• Experience in deploying and managing Apigee Hybrid in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Hands-on with API proxy development, policies, shared flows, and custom plugins.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.) for API deployment.
• Solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and OAuth 2.0/JWT.
• Experience with
GCP infrastructure and tools like GKE, Cloud Armor, Stackdriver.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
