Virtualization Engineer - TS​/SCI CI POLY

Our work depends on a Virtualization Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD.

As a Virtualization Engineer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for physical/virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, etc.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Design and build virtual environment service models including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Designs, implements, and maintains VMWare vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN.
• Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develop system architecture and design documentation. Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and issues.
• Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.

• 10+ Years of experience in relevant field and a High School Diploma.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking.
• Knowledge of configuration of virtual switches and VLANs.
• VMware Certified Professional certification.
