Commerce, Data & Identity (CDI) provides the core product management functions for areas crucial to Disney’s media businesses. The Cloud Cradle team within the Data organization at DEEPT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help drive the next phase of data platform innovation. In this role, you’ll develop critical tools and services that empower dozens of engineering and analytics teams to harness data for informed decision-making and operational excellence. Your work will play a key role in scaling the largest streaming service by providing robust engineering solutions that deliver observability, data lineage, quality, logging, and alerting—ensuring consistent and reliable data across the organization.

• Implement mission-critical applications, services, and libraries using Java, Python, and AWS technologies
• Build reusable components that encapsulate complex business logic and integrate across various systems with guidance from Leads and Architects
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to align technical strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure operational excellence by delivering high-quality, maintainable, and performant systems.
• Champion agile/scrum methodologies, actively participating in ceremonies and driving continuous improvement across the team.
