Sr Principal TPM - NPI GPU
At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we build the future of the cloud for enterprises as a diverse team of fellow creators and inventors. We act with the speed and attitude of a start‑up, with the scale and customer‑focus of the leading enterprise software company in the world.
Job DescriptionAs a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager on the Compute New Product Introduction (NPI) team, you are a hands‑on leader and technical anchor for the team—driving the full product lifecycle for multiple cloud compute and storage products in parallel. In this role, you will not only own the technical and execution path for new SKUs but will also mentor other TPMs, champion process improvements for end‑to‑end NPI delivery, set technical standards, and provide credible input at the highest levels of the organization.
You’ll engage regularly with engineers across hardware, firmware, software, networking, manufacturing, and operations to solve challenging problems before they impact delivery. This role demands advanced technical acumen primarily related to cloud scale hardware and software, the ability to define and scale processes for consistency and efficiency, and the leadership to inspire and develop your colleagues. You will communicate technical strategy and status to executives and serve as a key interface across functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and program leadership across multiple cloud compute NPI initiatives—driving process consistency and efficiency in the delivery of new SKUs and platform upgrades.
- Act as a lead for the NPI TPM team: mentor, guide, and develop fellow TPMs; set and maintain technical and program standards.
- Engage directly with hardware, firmware, software, network, manufacturing, and data center engineering teams to define technical requirements, resolve integration challenges, and drive system‑level solutions.
- Anticipate, identify, and proactively address technical bottlenecks and cross‑functional risks, leading troubleshooting and decision‑making efforts at both the program and architecture level.
- Establish and continuously refine scalable, repeatable NPI processes, documentation, and best practices for end‑to‑end SKU introduction.
- Develop and deliver clear, credible technical and program updates, risk assessments, and recommendations for executive audiences (VP/SVP/EVP) and engineering stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with OEMs, supply chain leaders, partners, and external vendors to ensure robust product manufacturability and deployment.
- Synthesize and champion technical strategy—shaping future NPI processes and driving innovation across teams.
- 10–12+ years hands‑on experience leading new data center/hyperscale hardware platform delivery, with direct technical program ownership and solution leadership (including rack‑level systems, servers, compute/GPU, or storage).
- Exceptionally deep understanding of hardware system design, interdisciplinary integration (hardware/firmware/software/network), and deployment at a global scale.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring TPMs, leading technical discussions/decisions, and defining/implementing process improvements for technical program delivery.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication and executive presence; capable of representing technical and program decisions credibly at all levels—including SVP/EVP.
- Recognized technical authority who drives and communicates cross‑team architectural decisions and mitigates risks dynamically.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, anticipating technical bottlenecks and driving proactive resolutions.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a technical discipline.
- Track record launching multiple cloud hardware/infrastructure generations and defining NPI best practices at scale.
- Extensive experience leading deep technical troubleshooting/integration efforts across hardware, firmware, software, and supply chain/manufacturing.
- Skilled in process definition, optimization, and technical…
