POSITION SUMMARYThe Manager – Data Management & IT Development provides both technical leadership and strategic coordination to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of ULMS’s data and technology environment. Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Data Management & IT Development, this role oversees the organization’s data systems, IT infrastructure, and digital tools, ensuring that information is accurate, accessible, and actionable across all departments.
Combining hands‑on systems administration with supervision of IT and data management staff, the Program Manager leads cross‑functional initiatives that improve service delivery, organizational effectiveness, and digital equity. The ideal candidate is a mission‑driven, collaborative leader who can translate technical concepts into practical solutions that strengthen ULMS’s technological capacity to empower communities and advance equity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT systems, data management, or network administration.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience managing IT or data teams.
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux environments and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, AWS).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and risk management.
- Experience with Salesforce, Apricot, Raiser's Edge, or similar nonprofit CRMs.
- Knowledge of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and backup/recovery systems.
- Familiarity with help desk, RMM, and endpoint security tools.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel to ULMS program sites and community events as needed.
- Nonprofit or community-based program experience preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, MCSA, PMP, or ITIL are strongly preferred.
