Support Engineer III – Apex Systems

Location:

Onsite, Seattle, WA

Duration: 5 months

Pay Rate: $30 - $40 hourly

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, software, and related systems.
• Resolve hardware, software, and user permission issues promptly.
• Perform routine hardware maintenance.

• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• BS degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Detailed knowledge of basic computer concepts, PC hardware and software troubleshooting, and workstation hardware.
• Experience supporting Windows XP/7 and Server operating systems in a managed desktop environment.
• Experience supporting Macintosh OS X (10.4 & above) desirable.
• Basic user-level knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems (Red Hat preferable).
• Solid knowledge of networks:
  Ethernet, TCP/IP, Windows Server networking.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer focus, proactive attitude.
• High standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical requirement: able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Microsoft MCSA/MCSE desirable.
• Vendor admin‑level certifications preferred:
  Apple ACMT/ACSP, Cisco CCNA.
