Senior Data Scientist, Ads

Join the Tik Tok Monetization Products data science team to help drive data-driven decision making for Tik Tok ads. This role focuses on advanced analysis, scalable pipeline development, and research into forecasting and optimization methods that can improve the quality of Tik Tok ads products. You’ll collaborate across functions to translate quantitative findings into clear business recommendations.

What you’ll build toward
: rigorous, high-quality analysis that supports monetization and sustainable revenue growth, with an emphasis on practical impact and continuous learning within a team designed to champion data-led decisions.

• Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems using advanced analytical methods. Deliver end-to-end work that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
• Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to generate insights at scale.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of Tik Tok data structures and metrics, including advocating for changes that support product development.
• Partner cross-functionally to produce business recommendations such as cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, and experiment analysis. Present findings with visual displays of quantitative information to stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Research and develop analysis, forecasting, and optimization methods aimed at improving the quality of Tik Tok ads products.

• BA, Master’s degree, or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience, including expertise in statistical data analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.
• Experience with statistical software including R,
  Python
  , and/or MATLAB
  , plus database languages such as SQL
  .
• Ads, Recommendation, E-Comm, or Search experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, with willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
• Ability to select appropriate statistical tools based on the specific analysis problem.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Base salary range
: USD 167, per year.

Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is only part of the total package, and the role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
