We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Administrator to join our team. As a Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our data platform, including Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and Purview.
Responsibilities- Platform Administration:
- Manage and maintain Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and virtual networks.
- Configure and administer Databricks work spaces, clusters, and notebooks.
- Manage Snowflake accounts, databases, warehouses, and users.
- Administer Purview data catalog and metadata management.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor platform performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Optimize query performance in Databricks and Snowflake.
- Tune system configurations for optimal resource utilization.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Backup and Recovery:
- Implement robust backup and recovery procedures for the platform.
- Test recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- User Management:
- Manage user accounts and permissions.
- Provide user support and troubleshooting.
- 8+ years of experience in platform administration or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud platform and its services.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Purview.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
