The City of Seattle is looking for a People Soft Functional Analyst to support an Accounts Payable (AP) Automation project.
Key Responsibilities- Provide functional support for People Soft 9.2 Financials, primarily across AP, Purchasing/PO, and GL.
- Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Perform data mapping and review data flows between People Soft and integrated applications.
- Support AP automation and invoice processing workflows.
- Investigate and troubleshoot functional and integration-related issues.
- Analyze existing People Soft configurations and business processes.
- Work with business users and stakeholders to understand issues and validate solutions.
- Support functional testing, defect analysis, and resolution.
- Collaborate with QA and technical teams during testing and integration activities.
- Participate in issue tracking, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
- Support business process improvements and project deliverables.
- Document functional requirements, mappings, processes, test scenarios, and issue resolutions as needed.
- 3+ years of hands-on People Soft functional experience.
- Strong experience with People Soft 9.2 Financials.
- Good functional knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP).
- Strong understanding of Purchasing/PO and General Ledger (GL).
- Experience with data mapping and data-flow analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting functional and integration issues.
- Experience supporting functional testing and defect resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand existing system configurations and business processes quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with AP Automation projects.
- Experience with invoice processing and automated AP workflows.
- Exposure to OCR-based invoice processing.
- Experience working with People Soft integrations.
- Experience collaborating with business users, developers, integration teams, and QA teams.
- Government or public-sector experience is a plus but not required.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on People Soft Financials functional professional who can quickly understand an existing People Soft 9.2 environment and provide functional support across AP, PO, and GL. Candidates with experience in AP automation, invoice processing, data mapping, integrations, and functional testing will be especially relevant.
Important Notes- Remote position within the USA.

- Public-sector experience is not mandatory.
- The client is primarily looking for solid People Soft functional experience rather than a highly senior resource.
- Approximately 3+ years of relevant People Soft experience is sufficient.
