Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive and develop new business leads from Producers or identify and develop cross‑selling opportunities
- Lead the effort for renewal strategy on an account or approach for new business
- Manage overall account responsibility for all the client and lead the coordination of all broker services including claims and loss control
- Delegate account team responsibilities for client renewal services – renewal strategy, submission, brokering, placing, presenting proposals
- Handle market‑facing responsibilities including broad knowledge of insurance industry, carriers and major underwriting contacts in assigned territory
- Provide day‑to‑day account servicing or guidance to account service team on more complex matters
- Perform monthly review of account currency and client statements, resolve outstanding payables in a timely fashion
- Attend standard industry events, carrier events and keep up to date on industry trends for assigned sector
- Serve as technical expert in the office and assist and train less experienced service team and employees
- Provide a high degree of technical coverage expertise for all critical lines impacting assigned clients
- Provide mentoring, coaching and assistance for other offices around the country as needed
- Ensure service team stays on task for their deliverables
- Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information)
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the company operates
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Eight (8) or more years related work experience
- Encouraged to complete career path requirements as communicated by supervisor
- Risk management, underwriting or other significant insurance related background
- Valid insurance license
- Must continue to meet continuing education requirements for license renewal
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Superior problem‑solving and time‑management skills
- Ability to lead and direct an assigned service team and foster collaboration with cross‑functional team members
- Knowledge of broad business acumen to understand the client’s business vis a vis insurance issues
- High degree of technical insurance knowledge and ability to provide guidance to clients
- Highly detailed and organized as well as superior prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
