Field-based position. The selected candidate will be expected to travel to support the region, including WA, OR, AK.
Position SummaryThis position is to provide solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites, and remotely, on bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines. Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain current customer business, while developing and strengthening customer relationships that result in customer loyalty and positive referrals. Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure customers receive prompt, accurate and professional support to further their business needs.
The Field Application Specialist I promotes teamwork and cooperation, removes barriers to productivity, and creates an enthusiastic, positive work environment.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, technical or life science field.
- MLS (ASCP) Certification Preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience or equivalent. bioMérieux product experience preferred.
- Experience with CLIA regulations and/or other laboratory credentialing standards preferred.
- Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.
- Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus.
- Technical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skills.
- Functional skills including critical thinking, adaptability, time management, communication, problem-solving and digital literacy.
- Flexibility, being highly adaptable and resilient to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Effective and efficient problem analysis that leads to high-quality decisions.
- Troubleshooting issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs.
- Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical data clearly.
- Ability to cooperate with others at all levels and work cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives.
- Consistently uphold and reflect the core ethical principles and values that bioMérieux promotes.
- Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
- Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

75% - International travel required: 5%

The estimated salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $106,400/year. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bio Merieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
