Job Title: Consultant Legal Expert

Job Type: Part-Time (20+ hrs/week for 4+ months)

Location: Hybrid (Seattle or Chicago)

Join our customer's team as an Consultant Legal Expert and play a pivotal consulting role in the development of an innovative AI assistant tailored for in-house legal departments of one of the biggest tech companies world-wide.

You will partner closely with the client to shape the project’s direction, leveraging your enterprise legal expertise to inform workflows, set best practices, and ensure high fidelity in legal process design.

• Consult with the client to map, analyze, and optimize in-house legal workflows.
• Advise project teams on legal risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks within corporate environments.
• Assist in sourcing, structuring, and interpreting relevant legal documents for AI training and validation.
• Act as the subject matter expert on enterprise-level commercial contracting and governance matters.
• Oversee the realism and accuracy of AI-generated legal queries.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, offering clear guidance and written documentation.
• Continuously assess problem spaces and provide strategic recommendations to enhance product value for in-house legal teams.

• Licensed attorney or paralegal with 5+ years of in-house counsel experience at an enterprise organization.
• Based in the United States, with availability to attend occasional in-person workshops (Seattle or Chicago).
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, committing at least 20 hours per week for 4 months.
• Direct experience working within or supporting a big technology company is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in corporate governance, strategic legal advising, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracting and legal risk assessment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
