Junior Attorney – Labor & Employment Practice

Lewis Brisbois, a full‑service AmLaw 100 firm, seeks a junior attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in Seattle, WA.

Our team values a collegial, supportive environment and encourages junior attorneys to grow into first‑chair responsibilities as they gain experience. We support the development of each attorney without forcing them to take on tasks they do not feel ready for.

• Perform legal research and drafting for civil litigation in the labor and employment domain.
• Assist senior attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including interviewing witnesses, client and opposing counsel communications, and drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Prepare for trial by drafting witness and exhibit disclosures, motions in limine, and assisting with witness preparation.
• Second‑chair trials as needed.
• Handle discrimination charges filed with the EEOC and WSHRC, drafting position statements and responding to administrative agencies.

• Admitted to practice in Washington.
• 3–4 years of employment law experience (or less with a demonstrated interest in the field).
• Excellent research, writing, and civil litigation skills.
• Experience assisting senior attorneys with litigation tasks and trial preparation.
• Experience second‑chairing trials.
• Preference for candidates with experience handling discrimination charges filed with the EEOC/WSHRC and responding to administrative agencies.

Salary range: USD $140,000–$170,000 per year, with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) with employer match.
