Job Description

A national law firm is seeking a Litigation Counsel for its Seattle, WA office with 8–12 years of relevant litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance bad faith and coverage litigation and complex commercial litigation. This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment while providing practical, business focused legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance bad faith and coverage litigation matters

• Manage complex commercial litigation cases

• Independently run cases from inception through resolution

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Handle oral arguments and trial appearances

Serve as first chair on matters with hands on case leadership

• Appear in both federal and state courts

• Provide strategic, business friendly legal counsel to clients

• Manage cases with minimal oversight

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) required

• Licensed to practice in Washington;
Oregon license a plus

• 8–12 years of litigation experience

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

• Experience independently handling full lifecycle litigation matters

• Deposition, trial, and oral advocacy experience preferred

• Federal and state court experience preferred

• Some portable business is a plus, but not required
