Overview

Position Name:
Seattle - Labor and Employment Midlevel Associate

Seeking a midlevel associate with 3-5 years of large law firm experience to join our labor & employment practice group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff cases, wage and hour and other class-action lawsuits, internal investigations, restrictive covenant litigation, and/or arbitrations. They will also have experience briefing motions, propounding and responding to discovery (including ESI discovery), and have excellent academic credentials as well as strong research, organization, writing, and analytical skills.

Although we will have a strong preference for the above-listed experience, we will consider others with significant non-employment litigation experience. Active Washington Bar membership is required.

Responsibilities
  • Join and contribute to the labor & employment practice group as a midlevel associate.
  • Handle employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff cases, wage-and-hour, class-action lawsuits, internal investigations, restrictive covenant litigation, and/or arbitrations.
  • Brief motions and manage discovery, including ESI discovery, and coordinate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Engage in legal research, drafting, and analysis; maintain strong organization and writing skills.
  • Work with senior attorneys on strategy, case management, and negotiations as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of large law firm experience in labor and employment or related litigation.
  • Experience in employment litigation and related areas as described above.
  • Experience briefing motions, propounding and responding to discovery, including ESI discovery.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Active Washington Bar membership is required.
  • May consider candidates with significant non-employment litigation experience.
Compensation and Benefits

For positions in Washington State, the salary wage range for this job posting is $260,000-$365,000. The base salary wage range will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on factors including prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range for other reasons. Total compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.

Eligible for a clerkship bonus if offered immediately following the completion of a judicial clerkship.
