Litigation Associate Seattle

Our client, a nationally recognized management-side labor and employment law firm, is seeking a junior Employment Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of litigation experience to join its Seattle office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated labor and employment practice representing employers throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will gain substantial hands-on experience handling employment disputes, agency matters, and workplace litigation while working closely with experienced employment attorneys.

• Defend employers in labor and employment litigation matters
• Draft and respond to:
  • Written discovery
  • Initial pleadings
  • Motions
  • Administrative filings
  • Agency position statements
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
• Assist with case strategy development and litigation planning
• Support matters through all phases of litigation, including:
  • Discovery
  • Motion practice
  • Mediation
  • Arbitration
  • Trial preparation
• Advise employers regarding workplace disputes and compliance issues
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on case management and risk mitigation strategies
• Manage multiple deadlines and assignments in a fast-paced environment

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar
• 2-3 years of litigation experience
• Employment law experience preferred, but not required
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
• Strong organizational and case-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated interest in labor and employment law

• Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 annually
