As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our procurement team, expand and strengthen our manufacturing supply base, and ensure we deliver quality parts to our customers on time.

This is a leadership role with direct impact on cost, quality, and delivery performance. The right candidate is a hands-on strategic sourcer who understands how parts are actually made, has worked directly with machine shops and a range of manufacturers, uses data driven decision making, and can build supplier relationships that scale with our growth, domestically and internationally.

What You'll Own

• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team; align individual goals with department and company objectives

• Identify, qualify, and onboard new manufacturers and machine shops, domestic and international, to expand capacity, capability, and cost competitiveness

• Develop and execute procurement strategy and policy while maintaining quality standards and specifications based on customer contracts

• Build and manage key supplier relationships; negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, long-term agreements, and drive supplier performance through scorecards and regular reviews

• Plan, develop, and buy parts, supplies, and equipment; forecast procurement needs and monitor stock levels to maximize business efficiency

• Monitor macro trends across the supplier and contract base and implement plans to mitigate risk and respond to market changes

• Own the department budget; track and report material cost variances and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Oversee purchase requisitions and purchase order issuance, and track purchasing activity against defined performance measures

• Initiate and implement process improvement initiatives within the department

• Take corrective and preventive action on supplier quality and delivery issues

• Ensure supplier compliance with site and company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (college degree required)

• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, including leading or managing a team

• Demonstrated experience sourcing manufacturers, including supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and ongoing performance management

• Experience working directly with machine shops and other types of manufacturers, with a working understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements

• Strong analytical skills; comfortable using data, forecasts, and performance metrics to drive decisions and report to leadership

• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Highly proficient computer skills, including ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Professional, personable, and collaborative approach with internal teams and external partners

This is an in-office position based in Seattle, WA; remote work is not available

This role requires access to export-controlled information, subject to the ITAR and EAR, for which the company will not pursue an export license/license exception. Must be a US person (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals) to be eligible for this role

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field

• Experience sourcing and managing manufacturers internationally (a significant plus), including import/export, customs, and international logistics considerations

• Aviation, aerospace, or MRO parts procurement experience is welcome but not required
