Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) SCOPE team is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to plan, execute, and continuously improve how inventory moves from Amazon's All Temperature Distribution Centers (ATDCs) to the customer-facing Amazon Now sites.
Amazon Now is an ultra-fast delivery service that brings fresh groceries and everyday household essentials to your doorstep in 30 minutes or less. You will partner across ATDC Inbound, Outbound, and Transportation, along with site operations, planning, and tech teams, to deliver inventory in full and on time at a competitive cost. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, makes sound data-driven judgments quickly, and keeps building depth in both the business and the technology behind it.
Keyjob responsibilities
- Own ATDC-to-spoke distribution performance across quality (OTIF, defects), cost, and capacity, and lead root-cause analysis when results slip.
- Work with inbound, outbound, and transportation leaders to align S&OP, labor, and carrier capacity plans, and flag risks early with clear mitigation plans.
- Escalate network constraints such as inbound gridlock, capacity shortfalls, or carrier gaps, and drive them to lasting fixes.
- Lead process improvements and automation that lower cost-to-serve and reduce manual intervention.
- Build scalable mechanisms and tech requirements so the network adapts to demand spikes, new business formats, and unexpected requirements.
- Deliver weekly and monthly business reviews that give leadership a clear view of performance, risks, and next steps.
SCOPE is made up of the ATDC Inbound, ATDC Outbound, and ATDC Transportation teams. Our focus is three-pronged: quality (free of defects), efficiency (low cost), and scalability (robustness and automation). We're building a reliable, versatile, and efficient distribution network that moves inventory in full at the time promised, at a competitive cost structure, with the robustness and self-adaptiveness to meet unexpected requirements.
BasicQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 1+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with MS Share-point
- Experience in data mining
- Experience in grocery, perishables, or multi-temperature distribution
