Some of what you'll be doing:

As a Construction Manager III, you will routinely and independently manage concurrent multiple major construction projects which include projects as part of the Noise Program at various locations surrounding the SEA airport and within the airport terminal  will work with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects that comply with contract documents and meet quality, safety, schedule, budget, and operational needs. You will also manage the construction budgets and schedules and supervise construction staff.

  • You will provide project leadership regarding all construction activities including project development, phasing and sequencing, bidding, execution and closeout.
  • You will execute change orders and/or resolve claims that do not significantly affect the budget, scope, and schedule of the project.
  • You will evaluate and process disputes/claims in coordination with Construction Program Leader.
  • You will supervise Assistant Construction Managers, Construction Managers I and II, Project Assistant and/or Inspectors, including assigning and reviewing work product, hiring, evaluating performance, and administering discipline.
  • You will perform constructability reviews and provide comments on design drawings and contract documents.
  • You will identify potential risks/issues and advise customers and project managers of needed changes to construction plans and details.
  • You will provide resolutions of project issues and challenges routinely requiring coordination with local, federal, and state agencies, or affected communities.
  • You will thoroughly document work related to disputes/claims and present positions to higher level managers to inform and reach a resolution.
Who you are:
  • Experienced – You have four (4) years of experience in major construction project management including inspection, cost estimating, scheduling, and/or payment processing to include one (1) year of supervisory/lead/mentor experience including leading a project or process.
  • Desired – We hope you have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or construction management. We hope you are a certified Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA) or a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).

  • Leader – You possess effective personnel management skills and working knowledge of staff leadership principles including setting performance expectations, managing and improving performance, developing and training, and providing leadership, direction, and feedback. You can also efficiently delegate responsibilities to manage workloads and can forecast staffing for projects to align with budget trends and reporting status in relation to forecasts.
