JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for managing and providing oversight of the corporate safety program and to the assigned safety professionals within the region.
SALARY RANGE: $ - $ annually (Seattle Range)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exercise general supervision of multiple job sites to monitor and manage projects during each phase of construction; including but not limited to pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
- Manage and assign safety professionals based on the region's project workload.
- Assist with the development and revision of the corporate “Freedom from Danger” manual.
- Participate in preconstruction and preparatory meetings.
- Evaluate project needs for frequency of site audits.
- Distribute and analyze leading indicators for program evaluation.
- Attend and brief health, safety, and environmental related issues at regional operations meetings.
- Conduct mid and end of year performance reviews with assigned safety professionals.
- Assist in developing and conducting the monthly safety meetings and the annual safety summits.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.
- Analyze incident reports and evaluate case studies to establish trend analysis based on acquired facts.
- Develop and administer employee/craft site specific safety training and orientations.
- Instruct and train project leaders in company safety programs and policies.
- Assist project teams to identify and incorporate best safety practices into site programs.
- Supervise and administer safety/first aid and emergency response activities.
- Audit project work practices and track findings to completion. Use findings to evaluate trends and to provide data for continuous improvement.
- Review incident performance to discover root causes and provide recommendations to the management team for corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead the development of risk mitigation tools such as Accident Prevention Plans, Safe Operating Procedures, Job Hazard Analyses, Toolbox Meetings, and OSHA Outreach Training Programs.
- Oversee the documentation of all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities.
- Oversee the issuance of work permits for high-risk activities.
