About the RoleThe Category Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to maximize contract value, reduce risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, strategic problem‑solving abilities, and a proactive approach to contract development and administration.
Responsibilities- Support overall design and construction contract management, including development of contract‑management tooling solutions.
- Partner with Contracts leadership and business leaders to navigate complex operations and spending initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with deal‑to‑contract policies and procedures.
- Work proactively with partners on budget planning and financial commitment monitoring.
- Create contract templates, clause libraries, and manage the contract review process.
- Maintain positive customer relationships regarding complex contracting issues.
- Coordinate and resolve key business issues with legal, risk management, corporate contracts, and leadership.
- Serve as the point of contact for contract inquiries across functional programs.
- Provide guidance on structuring deals and best practices for contract development.
- Ensure signed contracts are complete and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Optimize the end‑to‑end process from quote to signature, and share best practices with teams.
- Train teams to improve contracting efficiency and quality.
- Act as liaison between Project Controls, Construction Managers, and general contractors to enforce contracts.
- Manage and coordinate multiple contract‑management projects.
- 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, and supply‑chain operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply‑Chain Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, Business Administration, English, Engineering, or Construction Administration.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Tasks) and Adobe Sign or similar e‑signature tools.
- Experience with SAP, SRM, BW Reporting, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, detail, and financial acumen.
- Experience in construction and/or data‑center projects.
- Experience with GMP contract delivery methods.
- Creative problem‑solving and novel approach adoption.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a proven track record in multi‑stakeholder projects.
- Experience with process development and continuous improvement of contracts playbooks.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $300,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
