Job SummaryThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for developing both the Company’s strategic vision and mission as a member of the Executive Team but is also responsible for translating that vision and mission into short and long‑term financial plans, actions, programs and activities. Oversees, delegates and supervises management and other staff in providing financial systems, policies and procedures, programs, human resource functions, and is responsible for making decisions in support of all financial reporting, operations and treatment program costs and impacts.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Ensures effective and efficient financial tracking and reporting of administrative, functional and service operations.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and other requirements of financial operations, tracking and reporting.
- Responsible for supporting marketing / sales targets and goals, as well as service and operational goals.
- Works from a foundation of deep business, financial, and operating expertise to build enterprise excellence.
- Train, coach and supervise staff to improve skills and competencies.
- Provide direction to staff in areas such as new policies, procedures and regulations.
- Recruit and retain the best talent for every role making Dental Health Services a top destination for talent.
- Maintain external relationships and build trust‑based relationships with key stakeholders at state, county and local levels.
- Maintain a clear growth roadmap and secure the resources needed to deliver on that growth.
- Adhere to established accounting and financial protocols and guidelines.
- Develop enterprise‑wide policies, procedures and quality improvement activities as needed.
- Responsible for applicable and assigned vendor oversight and management including, but not limited to competitive vendor evaluation and selection, establishing standards of performance, measuring and analyzing performance to standards, problem / issue resolution, etc.
- Responsible for working with appropriate team members and / or vendors to establish new product lines, determine program / plan rates and develop administrative, operating and required regulatory forms.
- Maintain a high level of staff accountability.
- Perform any and all additional duties as required for this position.
- 10+ years of work experience in a finance / strategic leadership role.
- BA Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent directly related progressive experience.
- Certified Public Accountant.
