The Housing Capital Investments Program within DCHS's Housing and Community Development Division works with housing providers that have received King County affordable housing capital investments to ensure the ongoing success of their projects. These projects include Permanent Supportive Housing, Rent and Income Restricted Housing, Homeless Housing, and various special-purpose projects.
The Housing and Community Development (HCD) of DCHS is seeking a skilled asset / project manager who has affordable housing, community development, property management, or real estate experience, who has supported housing providers to ensure equitable development that delivers housing for historically marginalized communities. The ideal candidate will understand the practical requirements of operating multifamily housing, including daily operations, maintenance, budgeting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.
The position will be responsible for monitoring housing provider organizations and specific projects for contract performance and compliance with federal, state, and local funding requirements. Duties include performing on-site physical inspections of housing projects, in-depth file reviews, verifying resident income qualifications, reviewing operating statements and capital needs assessments, monitoring performance metrics, performing work‑out requests, and writing staff recommendations specific to properties within the Housing Capital Investments portfolio.

This is a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term‑Limited Temporary (TLT) position anticipated to end 24 months from the start date, but subject to change dependent on operational need. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. This position meets the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible with supervisory pre‑approval.
