Practice Group Co-Lead, Transit-Oriented Real Estate Economics and Finance
Join WSP in the U.S. to lead interdisciplinary teams managing Transit‑Oriented Development (TOD) projects from planning to execution, maximizing financial returns for transit agencies and local governments.
Job DescriptionLead large-scale, complex projects by communicating roles and deadlines, preparing and managing budgets, monitoring activities, tracking hours and expenses, ensuring performance standards and profitability, and overseeing subcontractors, stakeholders and staff.
Identify and develop business opportunities across North America, coordinate business development with specialists in urban design, planning, cost estimation, economics, finance, organization management, and public‑private partnership governance.
Take a leadership role in WSP’s Real Estate Economics and Finance Advisory Group to assist clients with maximizing land, building, property, and parking lot value through zoning, land use policies, joint‑development structures and new revenue sources.
Your Impact- Provide proactive and strategic process and people leadership for real estate transaction projects in the TOD discipline, including senior leadership for proposals, scope setting, pricing, budgeting and performance metrics.
- Guide the development and execution of real‑estate strategies that align with agency objectives and community interests, and prepare and deliver reports, recommendations and transaction summaries to stakeholders.
- Advise clients on leveraging surplus land sales, ground leases, joint‑development vehicles, public‑private partnerships, build‑to‑suit, and leasing options based on project goals and market conditions.
- Model “trusted advisor” service and provide future‑focused solutions; monitor schedules, budgets and deliverables, coordinating with legal, financial and technical teams; ensure profitable management and successful completion of projects.
- Develop and implement long‑term strategies for growth and pipeline advancement in Advisory Services, emphasizing land value opportunities across all sectors.
- Leverage expertise and relationships to market knowledge and capabilities, and develop new clients and projects.
- Assist in preparing annual updates to tactical business action plans.
- Advanced proficiency and proven experience in due diligence, procurement strategy, alternative delivery methods, and/or transaction structure.
- 10+ years of relevant experience at a transportation agency or other municipal government entity, including acting as principal on real estate transactions.
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective plans.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project‑specific requirements.
- Supervisory and/or management experience on real estate sales and/or joint‑development projects.
- Knowledge and application of land value capture methods such as TIF financing.
- Master’s Degree.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $122,700 – $218,680.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $122,700 – $205,260.
