Director of Community Management at Trestle | Expert in Developer & Builder Association Management

Job Summary:

The Community Association Manager serves as the primary interface to a portfolio of Homeowner or Condominium Association Clients, overseeing the operation of their non‑profit corporations. This role involves providing expert consulting, counsel, and project execution to the Board of Directors on topics such as financial management, maintenance, governance, and risk management. Ensuring timely and meaningful expertise and project execution to meet Board and owner expectations is crucial.

The position demands a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. Success requires drive, determination, and a self‑disciplined approach to achieving results that meet these criteria. The job environment is structured with clear expectations, where quality is never compromised despite the fast‑paced nature of the work. Communication and organizational relationships are based on technical expertise, requiring specialized problem solving and ingenuity within approved organizational systems and technology.

This job is 98% remote; however, the candidate must reside within Washington state.

Job Responsibilities:

Community Management Services
  • Provide Board advice and consultation per Association governing documents, industry standards, Washington state laws, and public policy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the community, ensuring a maximum one‑business day response time for communications.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports.
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs, reporting necessary actions based on observations.
  • Create and send violation notifications to owners.
  • Collect architectural control requests from homeowners and present them to the Board.
  • Develop and maintain an annual planned maintenance program, incorporating inputs from site walkthroughs, the Board, and owners.
  • Administer projects by requesting and evaluating vendor proposals, reviewing contracts, scheduling work, and reporting status to the Board.
  • Coordinate and provide information for reserve studies.
  • Request insurance proposals to ensure proper coverage and support insurance claims administration.
  • Prepare for and attend regularly scheduled Board and Annual meetings.
  • Prepare the annual budget and implement it with Board approval through membership approval.
  • Review and approve monthly financial reports created by the Client Accounting team.
  • Oversee delinquency enforcement and monitor collections activities with attorneys.
  • Review and approve all invoices for payment to appropriate GL accounts.
  • Provide guidance to the Board on managing and investing funds.
Administrative Management Services
  • Review and report on Resale Certifications and Lender requests.
  • Ensure all Client My‑Community Web Portals are current with meaningful information.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Community Association Manager.
  • Completion of the Community Association Institute M‑100 course.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Community Association Institute CMCA, AMS, or PCAM certification.

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
