A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves middle market and large cap private equity clients. The PEPI Operations group focuses on manufacturing operations, supply chain and distribution, procurement, SG&A operations, and sales force effectiveness, identifying value creation opportunities and guiding clients through ownership. The team emphasizes deep functional skills, structured problem solving, and tailored client solutions. The team is growing and offers opportunities for leadership development and international assignments.

We are seeking individuals who can deliver large, complex client engagements, partnering with PE leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies. Senior Associates typically contribute to engagements including:

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a target’s manufacturing and distribution operations (organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability).
• Evaluate maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review current and historical data to understand efficiency and capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing data.
• Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean initiatives, outsourcing, or facility consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans, identify risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables, manage the team, and maintain day-to-day relationships to ensure performance.

• 7+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
• Deep functional expertise in areas such as Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations, footprint optimization, plant consolidation, Cap Ex planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC and Value Engineering.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Experience designing and leading change/communications strategies; previous strategy and change management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

The salary range for this role is $125,000–$190,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and geography.

Full-time positions (over 30 hours) include healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverages, a 401(k) plan with discretionary company contributions, PTO (vacation and personal days), sick time, federal holidays, a floating holiday, and parental leave.
