CNC Machinist, Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a CNC Machinist who will set up and run both large and medium size horizontal and vertical multi‑axis CNC mills and/or lathes. Our job shop produces one‑off and prototype parts for aerospace, heavy equipment, energy production, naval vessels, tooling and more. The team is collaborative, creative, and focused on delivering precision parts to our customers.
Responsibilities- Set up and run prototype and one‑off components on a variety of CNC machinery including lathes, mills and mill‑turn.
- Optimize prepared programs at the machine for speeds and feeds.
- Work with steel, aluminium, inconel, titanium and other exotic materials.
- Read blueprints and part sheets to determine proper approach to creating precision parts.
- Propose ideas to increase efficiency, reduce downtime and scrap.
- Minimum five years of related experience in a job shop or a prototype/R&D environment.
- Proficiency with G‑ and M‑codes.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Strong grasp of measuring and inspection equipment.
- Team player able to work independently or with little supervision.
