The Marketing Manager for Student Engagement and Support assists Seattle University’s Student Success and Student and Campus Life divisions by creating and executing effective marketing and communication strategies that connect with current students and enhance their overall university experience. Reporting to the Marketing Communications team, this role ensures consistency with the university’s brand standards and centralized communication efforts, while providing dedicated support for student‑facing communications.
The Marketing Manager will oversee day‑to‑day communications operations, create and deliver compelling content across multiple channels (email, web, social media, and print), and collaborate closely with Student Services leadership, program offices, and campus partners to enhance the effectiveness of communication.
This role is designed as a manager‑level position emphasizing execution, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Essential Responsibilities Marketing & Communications Execution- Implement student‑centered marketing and communication initiatives that support Student Success and Student and Campus Life priorities, including retention, belonging, engagement, and well‑being.
- Manage ongoing communication plans, including centralized email and text campaigns, newsletters, and web content updates.
- Support execution of communication workflows and campaigns in Slate (training provided), ensuring messages reach the right students at the right time.
- Write, edit, and design clear, engaging content for email, web, social, and print channels targeted at current students.
- Ensure content reflects Seattle University’s brand standards and student‑focused messaging.
- Collaborate with Student Success leadership and affiliated units and other offices across campus (e.g., Orientation, Registrar, Student Financial Services, Advising, Student Development) to coordinate consistent, timely communications.
- Serve as liaison between Marketing Communications and Student Success/Student and Campus Life to ensure consistent communication strategies and alignment with the Centralized Student Communications Plan.
