Auto Stringer is looking for a Marketing & Growth Lead to help turn the project from a robotics prototype into a real startup. The technology matters, but the business will only work if we understand customers, build trust, validate demand, and communicate the value clearly.
This role is ideal for someone interested in startups, marketing, customer discovery, sports technology, venture building, or product strategy. You will help us talk to tennis players, clubs, universities, coaches, stringers, and potential partners to understand what they need and how Auto Stringer should enter the market.
What You Will Work On- Conduct customer discovery with tennis players, coaches, clubs, academies, universities, and stringers.
- Help create outreach lists and contact potential early users.
- Build surveys, interview scripts, and follow-up systems.
- Track customer feedback, pain points, willingness to pay, and adoption concerns.
- Help shape Auto Stringer’s positioning as a service-based business and future hardware product.
- Create content for the website, pitch materials, social media, and investor updates.
- Help organize demo opportunities with tennis teams, clubs, and interested customers.
- Research competitors, pricing models, stringing services, and market trends.
- Help build Auto Stringer’s brand as a serious robotics startup solving a real tennis problem.
- UW student interested in marketing, startups, entrepreneurship, sports business, or product strategy.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Comfortable reaching out to people through email, phone, Linked In, or in person.
- Organized and able to track conversations, leads, and feedback.
- Interested in learning how early-stage startups validate customers and build traction.
- Able to explain technical ideas in simple, persuasive language.
- Excited about working on a small team where your work directly affects the company’s direction.
- Tennis background or interest in sports technology.
- Experience with social media, brand design, copywriting, or content creation.
- Experience with customer interviews, market research, sales, or startup clubs.
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, Hub Spot, Canva, Figma, or Webflow.
- Interest in fundraising, pitch decks, or venture capital.
Auto Stringer needs more than a working robot. It needs customers, traction, trust, and a clear story. This role helps prove that people actually want the product and that the business can grow. You will be helping shape how the company talks to the market and how we get our first serious users.
