Job Summary

The Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager oversees corporate and foundation fund development strategies and activities, including grant writing and funder relationship development for Neighborhood House's programs and services. The Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager is a direct report to the Director of Development. The Development Team is actively engaged in growing community understanding of Neighborhood House and in facilitating a culture of philanthropy within the agency.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and diversify Neighborhood House’s corporate and foundation funding sources through increased giving from existing sources and identify, secure and cultivate new funding sources. This includes identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with many of Neighborhood House’s corporate and foundation contacts.
  • Build new relationships on behalf of Neighborhood House through robust in-person, online and phone networking with corporate and foundation funders. Help corporate and foundation communities see the value of supporting Neighborhood House.
  • Research, evaluate and track organization funding opportunities for Neighborhood House’s various program areas, matching existing funding needs and opportunities for growth with available funding opportunities from corporate, foundation, and other private sector funders.
  • Secure funding to help support existing programs and supplement public funding.
  • Write, edit, coordinate, and submit grant applications in concert with other agency staff and leadership, as well as with external partners when appropriate.
  • Develop an annual grant prospecting plan with benchmarks, goals, and cultivation strategies. Maintain the annual corporate and foundation grant application and reporting calendar. Coordinate organization-wide efforts to target, track, and establish strong relationships with funders via clear communication and stewardship. Serve as first point of contact with corporate and foundation donors/prospects.
  • Develop and implement a corporate engagement strategy that grows support through multiple approaches, including corporate gifts, corporate matches, employee giving, volunteerism, cause-related marketing, etc.
  • Support the Development team in identifying and securing corporate sponsor ships for special events.
  • Partner with the Volunteer Program Manager in developing corporate volunteer projects in support of Neighborhood House programs and to cultivate corporate relationships.
  • Work in partnership with Neighborhood House’s data analysts and program staff to ensure that accurate and relevant data is presented to funders.
