School Nurse (LPN)

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that is available for the 2024/2025 school year!

Requirements:

Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment, including experience maintaining accurate records

LPN license required

Have or able to get Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate

Previous experience in healthcare strongly preferred

Must complete training in and adhere to the district infection control plan

Requires first aid and CPR certification

Job Description:

Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 27 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar. Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.

Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.

Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs.

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.

Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.

Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource for school health policies and procedures.

Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.

Salary: $945.00 – $1,215.00 per week
