We have an opportunity for a per diem/on call advanced practitioner in desirable Seattle, Washington to cover 1-2 shifts every 1-2 months and for planned leaves. Virginia Mason Medical Center Cardiothoracic Surgery is a 3 surgeon practice looking for an Advanced Practitioner to join our team of 5 APP's. Responsibilities include first assisting adult cardiac surgery, including Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, and managing patients in the hospital, both critical care and telemetry units. The majority of time is spent in the OR and hospital. Bedside procedures based on interest and experience.
Occasional clinic responsibilities may be involved.
- Nurse Practitioner: 3+ years cardiothoracic surgery APP experience highly preferred;
Washington State Registered Nurse License and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License required; DEA and NPI numbers may be required depending on the position, as well as prescriptive authority. - Physician Assistant-Certified: 3+ years cardiothoracic surgery APP experience highly preferred; requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington; DEA and NPI numbers may be required depending on the position, as also prescriptive authority.

Pay Range$62.24 - $90.24 /hour
