Registered Nurse – PACU/ASU (Night Shift)
Sign‑On Bonus$10,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible part‑time and full‑time employees.
Work Schedule- 90% FTE (36 hours per week)
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Peri‑operative and Acute Care Unit (PACU/ASU) within Harborview Medical Center, a Level I trauma and burn center.
Job SummaryProvide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients in PACU/ASU following general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, oral maxillofacial, burns, ophthalmology, gynecology, and pain‑service procedures. Support a volume of nearly 18,000 surgeries annually, operating 24/7.
Responsibilities- Assess and stabilize patients post‑operatively and provide ongoing monitoring during the recovery period.
- Administer medications, interpret vital signs, and manage emergencies according to hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical‑care teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately.
- Educate patients and families about postoperative care and discharge instructions.
- Active RN license in Washington State.
- Minimum two (2) years of critical‑care experience (ED or ICU).
- BSN preferred; additional certifications in peri‑operative nursing or wound care are a plus.
- Pay range: $91,152 – $165,576 annual.
- Additional hourly incentives: $1.00/night, $4.00/weekly, $1.25 per nursing certification, $1.00 per hour BSN premium, $4.50 per hour.
